This is me.

Hello! I’m Georgia. Welcome to my website.

I’m a researcher and writer. My professional interests include synthetic biology, policy, and reduction of catastrophic risk. I tend to consider things from an effective altruism perspective – rooting decisions in facts, trying to find the most impactful decisions for the fewest resources. I studied biodefense at George Mason University and microbiology at The Evergreen State College, and I’ve done internships at the Future of Humanity Institute and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.

I’m also the eukaryote behind Eukaryote Writes Blog. This website contains some of my non-technical research and writing. See About for more on what you’ll find here.
